THE GLIDED AGE
The Glided Age was a time when America's economy had boosted. It's powerful economy was due to it's multi-billionaires ,who were also known as Robber Barons. Couple of reasons allowed this to happen, According the History,“ During this era, America became more prosperous and saw unprecedented growth in industry and technology". Due to many new mechanical inventions and low-payed workers America became one of the strongest countries.
True Reality
Though, the country in overall was doing great, the general public had trouble feeding themselves. As ,“It was a period where greedy, corrupt industrialists, bankers and politicians enjoyed extraordinary wealth and opulence at the expense of the working class. In fact, it was wealthy tycoons, not politicians, who inconspicuously held the most political power during the Gilded Age"(History). The power in the government was moving from elected officials to the hands of these wealthy businessmen.
